Our story
JB17 Performance was founded in 2023 by former professional footballer Jonathan Brown. After 12+ years in the game — from the Cardiff City academy to clubs across seven countries — Jonathan came home to Bridgend to build the coaching programme he wished had existed when he was a young player.
We're not a drop-in football school. We're a small, deliberate coaching team, and we work with players who want to take their development seriously — whether that's a young player chasing academy trials, a club-level player looking for an edge, or anyone in between.
What you get from us: focused sessions, honest feedback, and a development plan you can actually work on between sessions. The glamorous parts of the game don't matter much. The consistent daily habits do.
